Mike has stuttered ever since he learned to talk. As he grew older, his inability to communicate heightened his shyness, especially around girls. When he gets excited, he stutters even more. And the more he stutters, the more he gets flustered. At some point, he discovered that in tense situations, talking with his fists was more effective than trying to talk. He went into Karate, finding a bit a peace in the meditative aspect of the martial art. A shreiking 'Kai!' is one of the few things he can reliably say without stuttering! He finds comfort in music and animals, two things that do not require language to communicate. He still longs for un-hindered communication, and somewhat idolize air-personalities. In his most private thoughts, he dreams of being a DJ.
